5. New York, United States "Went with my daughter who has been twice before. She just loves the vibe..."

Lastminute.com reviewer Rachel shares, "Sightseeing places: Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire State, The Vessel, the High Line, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, Chinatown, Little Italy Central Park. Ellis Island and 9/11 museum were both fascinating and humbling. Great views from Top of the Rock and Empire State - good to do both for different perspectives. Love the High Line walk and Central Park is glorious. Kid's experience: Went with my daughter who has been twice before. She just loves the vibe and there is so much more to see and do, we will no doubt go again. She loves the food, the atmosphere, the ease with which you can navigate through the city, the friendliness and positivity of the people, and the great sights and views of the city from the iconic landmarks. I liked: Had great mum/daughter time and thoroughly enjoyed it all - the food, the park, the Broadway show, the views and trips, the history and the general feel of this vibrant city. We'll be back!...we started our rampaged itinerary of trips and visits, slightly adjusted to take account of the changeable weather (first, all four seasons in one day, then dry but grey, then wall-to-wall rain, then summer sunshine - CRAZY! ) We went to: Grand Central, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, 9/11 memorial and museum, dinner and Broadway show, "Big" piano at Macy's, New York Public Library, Top of the Rock, Tonic sports bar, Ellen's Stardust (just brilliant entertainment), Empire State, Circle Line ferry, The Vessel, walking the High Line, DUMBO for iconic view of Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street Charging Bull" and "Fearless Girl", Supreme Court, Chinatown (great value food), Little Italy (recommend Ferrara - superb cakes and pastries), Flatiron building, St Patrick's Cathedral, Central Park (BEAUTIFUL - puts our Royal Parks to shame! ) Highly recommend walking in Central Park - nice to get a bike but you miss a lot of the lovely pathways, rambles and views. Get Express tickets for Top of the Rock and Empire State and be treated like a real VIP - FAB!"
