1. Dusseldorf, Germany "As an animal lover the aquazoo and wildlife park in Grafenberg were particular favourites of mine."

Lastminute.com reviewer Sadie adds, "Food in Germany was great, especially the bakeries and cafes, many sights to see, my friend and I visited the rhine tower and took a boat trip down the rhine on the first day. Lots of lovely parks and gardens to visit in the city too and the altstadt and konigsalle offer lovely shops and bars. Sightseeing places: The panorama boat trip down the rhine was the best part of the journey. The rhine tower offered amazing views of the whole city. The Carlsplatz has great stalls and loads of food and drink to choose from. Beautiful parks and gardens, we visited the nordPark and hoftgarten. Friend's experience: My friend and I enjoyed the wide range of restaurants and bars in the city, had a great atmosphere. I liked: As an animal lover the aquazoo and wildlife park in Grafenberg were particular favourites of mine."

3. Funchal, Portugal "Great destination for walking, wildlife, plants and flowers."

Lastminute.com reviewer Christodbbb says, "Madeira was all I had heard it was; interesting, beautiful and friendly - in fact I have rarely been somewhere where the local people, in both the towns and in rural areas, were as welcoming. Great destination for walking, wildlife, plants and flowers. De-stressing tips: Walking. Sightseeing. Lazing about. Friend's experience: Walking the levadas was great, though is ‘at your own risk' - read up first to ensure routes are suitable and don't be afraid to turn back if it's above your comfort level, some are scarily precipitous! I liked: Friendly people and beautiful Countryside."
