1. Jersey, United Kingdom: A visit to the Elizabeth castle is an otherworldly experience

Lastminute.com reviewer says, "Weather was mixed but dry apart from the first evening and the last morning. We went to The War tunnels - Durrell Zoo - St. Auban - Corbières - Elizabeth castle and of course explored St. Helier. The best restaurant we ate at was Drifters Restaurant."

Lastminute.com reviewer shares, "We went to the Elizabeth castle, the weather was windy but we enjoyed it. We would recommend others to rent a car as it gives you the freedom to drive around the island and sightsee. We also went to jersey pearl."

2. Alicante, Spain: Enjoy a panoramic view of the sea from the 19th-century built Ferdinand castle

Lastminute.com reviewer adds, "Weather was a bit cloudy first day but brightened up and was nice, visited the medieval Ferdinand castle and explored the town and even took a tram up the coast to Benidorm for a night. "

3. Malaga, Spain: Visit Castillo Gibralfaro, a Moorish castle fortress high atop Mount Gibralfaro

Lastminute.com reviewer says, "The weather was patchy with frequent showers and chilly especially at night so we were slightly restricted. We visited Nerja by public bus and it is a lovely resort but the weather was poor on the day so did not see as much as we planned. In Malaga, we walked everywhere and visited the castle, Alcazaba, Churches, Shopping Centres, Port area and witnessed religious processions for Holy Week. We really enjoyed the city and it is cheap to eat and drink. There is a lovely buzz about the City Centre and Port where there are market stalls to also enjoy."

4. Paphos, Cyprus: Get to know the history of the Byzantine fort of Paphos

Lastminute.com reviewer says, "A lot of things can be seen in the Paphos: such as Paphos castle, archaeological park. The Democrats is a great place for traditional food and dance."

Lastminute.com reviewer adds, "The weather was perfect for us. Not too hot at around 20 degrees C so it was perfect for walking around. You definitely needed warm clothing in the evening as it got much cooler. We went to Limassol and went several times to the CrossfitLimassol gym. The Limassol castle was interesting too. "

5. Cannes, France: Château de la Napoule is a historical arts hub, cafe and museum

Lastminute.com reviewer says, "Cannes is truly beautiful, you have the options of both living full days by going around sight seeing and also the option of just chilling on the beautiful beaches. I really suggest to go to the castle in La Suquet and enjoy the beautiful view (preferably at sunset) and be sure to take the route from St. Antoine. Cannes is smaller when compared to nice but we found lots to do every day and even wished we had more days. You can hop on a train to visit Monte-Carlo and Nice too though if you like. Monte Caro is an hour away, but Nice is about 40 minutes."
