2. Durban, South Africa "Dragons peak in the Midlands is a good place to visit for hiking in the mountains. "

Lastminute.com reviewer Tyron Malachi adds, "For winter Durban was warm. We averaged temps between 18 and 28. There were a few windy days but it was dry throughout July. Definitely go to ushaka as there is something for everyone! If you enter the water park after 2. 30 it's half price. Highly recommended going to snorkel lagoon as its fun and worth the effort. Going during the winter season is good as it's off peak so things are a little cheaper and less busy. Adventurous activities done: Going snorkeling in snorkel lagoon at ushaka was amazing. Swimming with the fish they have in their tanks and the sharks was highly entertaining and good value for money. Paintball and epic carting were also very good in the Midlands at. Sightseeing places: Dragons peak in the Midlands is a good place to visit for hiking in the mountains. Midmar dam is beautiful on a sunny day. Closer to Durban airport, Umdloti has amazing coastal views and guest homes to enjoy the views in. The best is the views from Ushaka marine world and their beach."

Lastminute.com reviewer Natasha says, "Highly recommend the Atlas Mountains and seeing a Berber house. The souks were beautiful, but I would recommend getting a guide for the first time. Also, the old Jewish quarter and YSL Gardens. Be prepared for high humidity! De-stressing Tips: Hiking in the Atlas Mountains. Getting guides. Parent's experience: Exploring both the old Medina and new town. I liked: How beautiful and authentic the hotel was. As well as how accommodating they were. They went above and beyond to recommend us places to go and book guides for us."

5. Lisbon, Portugal "[H]iking to the mountains around Lisbon."

Lastminute.com reviewer Anita shares, "The weather was superb, every day between 28-34 Celsius. The food was delicious. You can find something to eat on every corner in Lisbon. Lots of pastries and see food, which is absolutely fresh everywhere. We visited all the tourist places in Lisbon and took a trip to Cascais to the beachside, Belem to see many interesting things and to Sintra to explore the Pena Palace and the surrounding area. You can travel by public transport everywhere. It's cheap and frequent. But the most convenient is Uber. Parent's enjoyment: The fantastic view from all the hills/mountains and the seaside anywhere we went. Adventure activities: Cruise on the river with a beautiful view of the city, hiking to the mountains around Lisbon. Fresh air is fantastic and again the view from each hill. Places you saw: Lisbon itself (so many thing to do over there! ) Cascais beach side (you must go there! ), Belem area (to see the monument, the little castle -Torre the Belem, explore the little shops, bakeries, Jeronimo's monastery), Sintra (to see the Pena Palace which is very interesting, and explore the little village by walking down from the mountain), Almada (to see the Christ monument with fantastic view). Like most in the trip: Weather, and that you were busy all the time because so many things to do in Lisbon."
