Lastminute.com reviewer shares, "The weather sunny and hot, quite humid, but with a nice breeze in the evening. Spring, autumn, even winter are the best seasons to visit nice, as in the summer is too hot and too busy. I have lived in Paris for many years and visited many places in France but never nice. I always wanted to go and now that some old friends made it their home it was a good excuse to see them and Nissa la Bella, beautiful nice. I found it an easy town to be in and get by. The airport is well served and close to the town, the public transports are excellent (number 1 tram very practical) people generally very polite. With my family, we strolled in the old town, visited the Matisse Museum and MAMAC, the contemporary art museum, walked on the Promenade des Anglais. I had a delicious pizza by the meter! And next time I hope to try some excellent gelato my friends recommended, but because of the political protest in the old town (Garibaldi square was cut off) that weekend, we missed it. Amongst the many ethnicities there is a distinctly Italian character in many things, food included. Nice is and has always been a melting pot, vibrant and colourful yet relaxed. Who wouldn't be, living next to this Mediterranean blue? I'm looking forward to my next visit, I'm sure the old harbour (so picturesque I was told) and the old town with the gelato, will be waiting for me!"
