Lastminute.com reviewer James adds, "Around the city centre, there are several supermarkets which are reasonably priced and well cooled! The public transport is also reasonably priced, which allows you to get a bit out of the city centre quite easily, and the trams are air-conditioned... The stadtwald (city forest) and stadtwaldsee (the associated lake) is great to wander around and go swimming in, though it was a bit surprising to find there was a naturist area of the beach — common in [G]ermany.
Sightseeing places: I walked around the old town area around the cathedral and town halls, which is nice and had a market setting up in it. I also went out to the stadtwald which has a lovely swimming lake in it, clearly well loved by the locals, as well as a massive forest which was nice to walk around and get lost in.
Self-experience: Sheltering from the weather by walking around the stadtwald, which was lovely as I didn't expect it when I booked to go.
I liked: Swimming in the lake."
