2. Geneva, Switzerland Catch the splendour of the Alps as you catch a boat from the quay at Genève-Mt-Blanc

Lastminute.com reviewer Sayuri says, "Weather was great mostly, lots of sightseeing including a lake tour and cable car ride up Mt Saleve. The hotel had a great location with free transport that was very efficient. Food was expensive but excursions and sights affordable. De-stressing tips: Lake Geneva tour was very relaxing and picturesque. Climbed part way up Mt Saleve which had breathtakingly gorgeous views even when cloudy. Sightseeing places: Mt Saleve, Lake Geneva and the Botanical Gardens were my favourite sightseeing things to do. Also saw the broken chair, flower clock and Jet d'eau which were also great. Romantic experience: Sharing an ice cream by Lake Geneva at sunset."

4. Windermere, United Kingdom Go paddling, duck feeding and hire a boat and explore around Windermere lake

Lastminute.com reviewer Holly adds, "During our trip to Windermere, the weather held out for most of it but it did rain for a few hours. But as it's March, we expected that kind of weather so we were prepared. The local restaurants were close to each other so you had plenty of choices to choose from! Windermere was only a short walk to Bowden so we went out on Lake Windermere on a self-drive electric boat! It was also in a great area for getting the hip-hop off bus for visiting the different villages. All in all, an amazing weekend getaway!"
