Lastminute.com reviewer Nancy adds, "It was on the warm side. To some degree had to adjust to accommodate the heat. Food was fabulous. Plenty of places (gardens, trees, etc. To keep in the shade/breeze. Enjoyed fountains and beach one day. Tram visit of the city well worth it and then some. A beautiful old city rich in history and excites imagination while also amenities for modern sensibilities. Being there and not home and visiting friends was relaxing. View (and a/c) from le phare palavers. The old quieter city streets that led to le Jardin des Plantes. Eglise St. Roch and the restaurants in the area. The audio guide with a tram tour of the city. The fountains. Musee Fabre, esp the ancient decor exhibit in a close-by building, everything was great including the austere simplicity of the Dominican church, the carousel in the main plaza, the playground for kids across from Musee Fabre. Kid's loved the mediterranean sea (bathing in it). The elevator going up the phare, the carousel, the playgrounds, the pizzas and the ice cream. Very kid-friendly."
