We enjoyed the fresh air and the local sites such as Urquhart Castle and Fort George. This was my friend's first time visiting the Highlands and he really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend a trip to anyone who would like a short break from city life. I was... surprised by Fort George and how much we enjoyed visiting there. We walked and hiked most of the day which we find relaxing. In general, Inverness is a relaxing place away from city life. It would be nice to return in Autumn when it would be less busy with tourists.
Great place to relax and unwind. Lots of activities to do to pass the time... De-stressing tips: Falling Foss waterfall, walking and dining. My friends liked the beautiful beach, amazing views and the sunset. I liked the quirky streets around every corner. Lots of little independent shops which was great to see.
We spent 2 days in Bournemouth. We rented a car from U-drive... and drove around the city . I would recommend checking out Durdle Door, Swanage, and East Cliff Dorset. For food, I highly recommend Arbor Restaurant. De-stressing tips: Chill in the sun at Bournemouth Pier. Loved all the places.
Went with friends and enjoyed the beach, pubs and country air! De-stressing tips: Walking, swimming in the sea, meals out and the pubs. Walking through the woods along the coast [was romantic]. I liked the relaxed nature, slower pace of life and fresh air.
Don't just stay in the city, go up the mountains, and see the monuments. Most of them are within walking distance, but also worth a bus trip is an excursion to Cramond Island on a nice day. My friends liked having a nice and relaxing trip to see a beautiful city .
Weather was sunny. Easy walking around the city or use local buses (£4 day ticket). ...Sunday morning hike to Arthur's Seat is a must – fantastic city views... De-stressing tips: Sitting in the sun, drinking local lager (Innes and Gunn) and climbing to Arthur's seat.
