Evening stroll along the beach and then back along the cliff top with a beautiful sunset [was romantic]... Loved the pier and the wheel. Beach was very clean and water crystal clear. Can't wait to go back. I liked the chance to leave the car parked up for several days and just wandering around without having to watch the clock – so able to totally relax. De-stressing tips: Walking along the beach, stopping for a coffee and also having amazing ice-cream, shopping and enjoying the park.
Our Ascot hotel was in view of the seaside so we watched the sunrise and sunset each day – it was amazing. The soothing calmness of the sea breeze de-stressed us. We had fun in the car we hired to go on the hills and mountains. The sightseeing in the open car is the highlight of my holiday as it was mind-blowing and breathtaking. We will always remember the mountain's spectacular view dotted with the cutest sheep and we are in an open car watching through a binocular. The mountains were romantic... Have a long stroll along the beach, plenty of fresh air will give you a great night’s sleep.
The sea front is nice as is Weston Woods for walks. Also, see the sand sculptures. I saw... the grand pier. Also walked up Worlebury Hill. Walking in the woods in the evening and later watching the sun set [was romantic]. I liked spending time with my partner and visiting the Cheddar caves nearby.
Portstewart has many things to offer, whether it's the amusements, beaches, restaurants or bars – there's plenty to do. My romantic experience: [Watching the] sunset while having a cocktail. I liked enjoying the laid back atmosphere. We also enjoyed a fun day at the Giant's Causeway. De-stressing tips: Long walks, going out for a meal [and having a] few drinks.
Excellent location, Royal Yacht hotel was in the centre of St Helier. I found romantic: Beautiful sunset, lovely beaches to walk along with your loved ones and lovely restaurants. I liked round the island tour, beaches, rugged coastline and friendly people. Walk across to the Elizabeth Castle, [visit the] lighthouse in St Brelade's on low tides, Island tours by bus or boat with weather permitting, war tunnels from previous wars [and the] botanical gardens.
Visited the Great Orme via the cable cars. Highly recommended, the views were awesome. I found romantic: Late night walk across the beach, very peaceful and the sunset was beautiful. I liked the coastline walks. The views were amazing especially with the weather being really nice. Visited Conwy Castle and Mountain zoo in Colwyn Bay.
Highly recommend. A stress-free, very enjoyable stay in Scarborough, can't wait to go back. De-stressing tips: Watching the sunset over the sea from our hotel room, with a glass of wine; strolling along the seafront, breathing in the sea air; sitting in the Italian Gardens on the Esplanade watching the squirrels at play and listening to the bird song. My romantic experience: Revisiting the beach at Thornwick Bay where my partner proposed to me, now as man and wife.
Beautiful location, stunning beaches and views. Watching the sun set from Fistral Beach [was romantic]... If you like walking there are many wonderful trails [that lead to] some breathtaking views. De-stressing tips: Lots of nature trails and a walk along the beach everyday. I liked everything!
